Impacts

Today there has been 50+ reviews which have made significant impacts to youth development in Aotearoa.

Scope was successfully rolled out in Nelson and Wellington and is on its way to being rolled out in South Auckland.

2019

Success

Scope was successfully rolled out in Bay of Plenty and is on its way to being rolled out in Wellington.

2018

Review Tool

Scope Aotearoa Charitable Trust was formed to umbrella the review tool, and take it to the next level.

2016

Scope Rolling Out

Scope was supported to start the process of rolling out the tool across the country after a througher evaluation of the tool was done to ensure it met expectations and best practice at the time.

2014

Development Of Tool

A set of policies and procedures were developed by the Canterbury Youth Workers Collective for the Scope Review Tool to ensure that it met the sectors expectations at the time.

2012

Leadership

Canterbury Youth Workers Collective under the leadership of John Harrington secured funding to recruit and train 10 Scope Assessors, there was also funding to review 3 youth organisations.

2010

Support

The Canterbury Youth Workers Collective successfully proposed that they hold the review tool and start to develop it further. Unfortunately the 2010/11 earthquake stalled things.

2009

Tool

The review tool was given to the Ara Taiohi for safe keeping after the National Youth Workers Network Aotearoa closed down.

2006

Team Leaders

4 Christchurch based Organisation were reviewed and a number of Team Leaders and Assessors were recruited thanks to support from the Wayne Francis Charitable Trust.

The original Scope Review tool was written by Lloyd Martin, and funded by the Salvation Army.
